Have you wondered where I went?

I’ve decided to merge The Fat Witch Project with a personal blog to facilitate having just one blog (outside of One Witch’s Way) rather than ending up with two.  So I’ll be deleting this one from NetworkedBlogs on Facebook shortly and you’ll find the new blog, A Witch by the Sea, at http://priestessrowan.blogspot.com/.  I’m not going to be adding this to NetworkedBlogs, so if you would like to follow, you can do so by adding either the RSS feed to one of your favorite RSS readers, you can follow through Google Followers (there is a box for that on the site) and naturally you can just bookmark it.  :)   I’ll see you at the new site! ***Read the rest...***

How much fat are you SUPPOSED to have?

March 23, 2010 :: Posted by - Rowan Pendragon :: Category - Check-in

Today, on day 2 of the Organic Liaison plan and I’m having that odd moment of clarity where everything just starts to come together and make sense.  I need to exercise.  Yup, that’s a given and is the large roadblock  that I have to figure out how to maneuver still.  I need to eat organic, healthy food.  That’s a lot easier than it probably should be.  I went shopping last night and got some stuff that just looks awesome, got lots of Amy’s stuff and some yummy looking baby greens and whatnot.  So food is no problem.  I need to count my calories.  No problem there either.  I actually don’t mind writing down everything I eat because I do start to see the patterns in what I’m eating when I do that and why I eat what I eat at certain times.  But last night, as I was eating a very yummy, and organic, Amy’s spinach pizza, I realized that while I’m counting the calories, I am in no way keeping track of how much fat I’m eating.  How much are you supposed to even have?  What’s the “limit” or the recommendation for how much to have in a day? ***Read the rest...***

w00t! Good day!

March 22, 2010 :: Posted by - Rowan Pendragon :: Category - Check-in

So I’m getting started here and did my first weigh in before starting on the new plan and I was very happy to find that I was still at 273!  That’s a very welcome yet unexpected turn of events!  I mixed up my bottle of Rescue Me for the day and poured some in a glass with ice to have with my breakfast and, while there is a very slight vitamin like taste, it is actually pretty yummy.  So drinking this stuff will be no problem.  I’ve got lots of work to do today and I’m hoping that the Rescue Me will be a help against any possible emotional eating breakdowns today. *crosses fingers*  I have some things to deal with today and I’m hoping for the best! ***Read the rest...***

Preparing to go Organic!

March 22, 2010 :: Posted by - Rowan Pendragon :: Category - Random

Tomorrow will be day one of the diet that’s not really a diet, also known as Organic Liaison.  I say it’s a non-diet diet because really, no matter how you look at it the real thing that is going on with this plan is the supplement program.  You’re focus here is really understanding the three supplements and then taking them while eating healthy and as organic as possible.  I ended up spending a huge part of Saturday morning reading the menu plan on the website, looking at recipes and shopping lists and trying to make a plan for how to approach it.  I have to say I got really, really frustrated after about an hour because everything was so all over the place.  You’d have things on your shopping list like 1 corn tortilla.  Uhh…well what the hell do I do with the other 5 in the package?  And like 1 slice vegetable pizza, and it would have a calorie count with it like 260 calories.  Ok, great!  Where do I get this one piece of 260 calorie veggie pizza?  You’ll never know because there isn’t a recipe attached to it nor is there a brand name for it if it’s a pre-packaged thing. Which I discovered a lot of the stuff that seemed odd on the menu are actually Amy’s Organics frozen and canned things.  And I LOVE the Amy’s stuff so know I can go with that stuff makes this a LOT easier. ***Read the rest...***

Trying to weigh 1000 Pounds!?!?

March 18, 2010 :: Posted by - Rowan Pendragon :: Category - Random

Over the last few days the news and talk shows have been all a flutter with a sort of “human interest” (aka human voyeurism) story about a woman from New Jersey who is looking to weight 1,000lbs and become the fattest woman in the world.  She’s already around the 600lb mark and is actively working to gain weight by eating…get this…12,000 calories a day!!!  WHY?!?! ***Read the rest...***

Lost…and I don’t mean with food.

March 17, 2010 :: Posted by - Rowan Pendragon :: Category - Random

So here’s a totally unrelated post that has nothing at all do with food, exercise, diet or even roller derby!  This is a post out of pure frustration…with Lost.  Yes, Lost as in the TV show what confuses us all. ***Read the rest...***

ACK!!! Week 3 and some lessons learned.

March 03, 2010 :: Posted by - Rowan Pendragon :: Category - Check-in, Weigh-ins

So, first things first.  Week 3 is done and I’m on Week 4 now.  I weighed in, a little nervously this week, and lost 2.2lbs.  It was a bad week for food but I managed to make it happen in the end.  But, I’m not going to lie, I’m just disappointed that I haven’t yet been able to go a week without pizza or slipping off the plan.  So I had to sit down and think to myself, what the HELL is my problem?  It’s not PMS, because I haven’t had PMS for three weeks, come on!  Usually that’s when I’ll do thinks like have pizza three nights a week for dinner, so I don’t know what’s up.  I’m thinking it could in part be just that mental state of things because I’m telling myself “YOU! You’re on a DIET!!”  So I don’t know. ***Read the rest...***
